Tests are performed using a certified megohmmeter. The measurement method is selected based on the intended use of the electrical installation, the voltage class, and the characteristics of the equipment being tested. All work is performed only after disconnecting the electrical installation from the power source and taking the necessary electrical safety measures.
✔ prepare the facility for testing;
✔ check the insulation resistance of cable lines, electrical wiring, and electrical equipment;
✔ perform measurements between live conductors, as well as between conductors and grounded elements;
✔ evaluate the obtained results in accordance with current regulatory requirements;
✔ identify possible insulation defects and determine the need for repairs.
The test results allow us to determine the actual condition of the electrical equipment and confirm its continued safe operation. If values below acceptable limits are detected, specialists identify problem areas and provide recommendations for restoring the electrical network.
Upon completion of the tests, an official insulation resistance measurement report is issued. The document contains information about the inspected object, a list of measurements performed, the characteristics of the instruments used, the obtained values, and a final conclusion on the electrical installation’s compliance with regulatory requirements. The report can be used during facility commissioning, during inspections by regulatory authorities, and as part of the company’s technical documentation.
